Located in Jubel Hall, the Spartan Light Metal Products Makerspace is where Washington University students, faculty, and staff will bring innovative ideas to life and join together to develop ideas that will impact the community and the world.
Individuals paying for 3D print jobs and laser cutting materials must use BearBucks. For courses or research labs, see How do I pay for materials? in our FAQs.
Printer files will be prepared by members and submitted through 3DPrinterOS (see How do I submit a 3D print job? in FAQs). Makerspace staff will start the print job and notify the user when it is ready for pickup.
For all equipment, you should complete the associated training before coming in. Members can do walk-ins for general consultations or to use simple hand tools. For power tools and more advanced equipment (like the laser cutter and Bantam mini-mill), an appointment is required to use the equipment.
